Hello, and welcome to our website. We are Jeff and Nancy Phillips and our farm is about 4 miles north of Crocker, MO, in Pulaski Co. Jeff retired from the Army as a First Sergeant of the Chemical Corps, and currently works in the MANSCEN Building at Ft. Leonard Wood as a Combat Developer Materiel Analyst. I basically stay at home, but serve as Vice President of the Senior Citizen's Board, and Publicity Chairman, am Co-President of the Green Thumb Garden Club, am Senior Leader of the Green Thumb Sprouts 4-H Club, and editor of the American Cream Draft Horse Association newsletter American Cream News ( creamnewseditor@yahoo.com ). I am the new editor for the American Dexter Cattle Association's publication The Dexter Bulletin ( adcaeditor@yahoo.com ).
We have a few horses: A Tennessee Walking Horse mare and gelding, an American Cream Draft mare, a retired Thoroughbred race horse stallion, and a Fox Trotter.
In December 2004, we got into the Dexter cattle business. Jeff got a bred cow and a 5 month old bull calf for Christmas. Joshua is growing up to be very handsome and I'm so proud of him. Our cow, Dee, gave birth June 1, 2005, to her 7th baby, Dove, a tall beautiful black heifer. The little thing weighed 69 pounds when she was just 5 days old, and stood 26" at the hips. She's growing like a weed. It'll probably kill me when my first grandchild leaves home, but Dove will be for sale at the AGM in June 2006 in Springfield, MO. On June 9, 2006, Dee had calf #8, another black heifer, which we named Sunflower.
